The Arduino Mega 2560 is a powerful microcontroller board designed for complex projects requiring a large number of I/O pins, memory, and processing power. Powered by the ATmega2560 microcontroller, the Mega is popular for applications that require multiple sensors, displays, actuators, or devices that communicate over serial. It’s widely used in robotics, 3D printing, CNC machines, and large-scale IoT projects due to its expandability and versatility.

Specifications

Microcontroller: ATmega2560, a robust 8-bit AVR microcontroller.

Operating Voltage: 5V, with a 3.3V output available for powering low-voltage components.

Input Voltage: 7-12V via a barrel jack or the Vin pin, or 5V via USB.

Digital I/O Pins: 54 pins, of which 15 support PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), making it capable of controlling multiple servos, motors, and other devices.

Analog Input Pins: 16 pins (A0 to A15) for reading analog signals from various sensors.

Flash Memory: 256 KB, with 8 KB used by the bootloader, providing substantial space for large programs.

SRAM: 8 KB, which allows more complex data handling in real-time applications.

EEPROM: 4 KB, for storing data that persists even when the board is turned off.

Clock Speed: 16 MHz, allowing efficient performance for a range of applications.

Connectivity: USB Type-B for programming and power, and a barrel jack or Vin pin for external power.
