Active Ceramic GPS Antenna With IPEX Interface

Description:

An Active Ceramic GPS Antenna is designed to receive and amplify Global Positioning System (GPS) signals, ensuring accurate and reliable positioning in navigation systems. It consists of a ceramic patch antenna for signal reception and an integrated low-noise amplifier (LNA) for boosting weak signals. The IPEX interface (also known as U.FL connector) provides a reliable and compact connection for RF transmission to the GPS module. This combination makes it ideal for applications with limited space and stringent performance requirements.

Key Specifications

  • Frequency Range:



    1575.42 MHz ± 1.023 MHz (L1 band for GPS signals).

    Optionally supports GLONASS, Galileo, or BeiDou in some models.


  • Gain:



    Passive: ~3–5 dBi (ceramic patch only).

    Active: ~20–35 dB (with integrated LNA).


  • Noise Figure:



    Typically ≤ 1.5 dB (for the LNA).


  • Voltage Supply for LNA:



    1.8V, 3.3V, or 5V depending on the model.



  • Impedance:



    50 ohms.


  • Polarization:



    Right-Hand Circular Polarization (RHCP).
